SuperBowling Saturday results are in!

Dear Friends,

The Lewiston Education Fund board would like to extend a warm thank you to all of the community members and businesses who supported our 7th Annual SuperBowling Saturday on February 4, 2012.  Income from the event will support grants to support creative and innovative projects in the Lewiston Public Schools.  Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be used to further fund our endowment.  While we are still awaiting final numbers we estimate the total revenues from this event to exceed $6,000.

We would like to extend a special thank you to our hospitality sponsor, Martin’s Point Healthcare and to our lane sponsors:  Bangor Savings Bank, Carbonite, Central ME Community College, Champoux Financial Services Champoux Insurance, Fish Bones American Grill, Geiger, the Harward Center for Community Partnerships at Bates College, Kaplan University, Lewiston-Auburn Film Festival, Maine Family Federal Credit Union, Procter and Gamble, Skelton Taintor and Abbott, Strainrite and USM-LAC.

And now, for the news  you’ve all been waiting for–the announcement of the winners!  We’re pleased to announce that Team Geiger was the overall winner of the tournament.  Congratulations to Michelle Gravel, Alan Groudle, Amanda Gray, Chris Camp and Beverly MacNeill from Geiger!  Second place was taken by the B Well Bowlers from Bates College and third place went to The Gifted Grants from Grants Bakery.  A complete list of winners is posted on the Lewiston Education Fund website at:

We’re already excited at the prospect of hosting this event again next year and hope that you will join us in supporting the Lewiston Education Fund at next year’s event and throughout the coming year.

Best wishes,
Amie Parker
