LEF Awards over $7,500 to local teachers in support of creative project and innovative education

Dear friends,

Each year, the Lewiston Education Fund board has the great privilege of awarding grant funds to teachers within the Lewiston Public Schools who have demonstrated an engagement in their classroom that sets them apart. This year is no different. The board recently awarded over $7,500 in grant funds to teachers at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

We’re pleased to share with you some of the creative ideas and unique projects that will be taking place in the coming academic year. From digital cameras and robotics to world music and storytelling, these projects contain elements that will inject passion into the curriculum at many of our schools this fall. We hope you will share in our enthusiasm and check back with us to see how these projects have gone as the year progresses.

Funding of these projects is not possible without donations from individuals and organizations that are committed to progressive education in our community. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to Lewiston’s future–donate to the Lewiston Education Fund!
