The Lewiston Education Fund is pleased to welcome four new Directors to the Board. The newly voted members are:
Roger Diffin, L.L.Bean
Roger is a graduate of University of Southern Maine and is the Senior Manager of Store Operations for the Retail Division at L.L.Bean. Roger volunteers with youth education and is affiliated with Junior Achievement in Minot and Lewiston. In addition to these efforts Roger has supported the United Way and the Good Shepard Foodbank. He is looking forward to bringing this experience to the Lewiston Education Fund and driving our mission forward. Roger brings strong organizational skills, a drive for excellence and a passion for improving the lives of children in the Lewiston school system.
Melissa Farinas, Androscoggin Bank
Melissa is a graduate of Fairfield University with studies in Management Information Systems. She is a Senior System Analyst at Androscoggin Bank with skills and talent in management, administration, policy development and events. Melissa has 3 children in the Lewiston school system and is looking forward to continuing the relationship between Androscoggin Bank and the Lewiston Education Fund through her volunteer work with our board.
Meaghan Lajoie, State Farm Insurance
Meaghan is a graduate of Lewiston High School and attended Central Maine Community College. She is a Licensed Customer Service Representative and Bank Specialist at State Farm Insurance. Meaghan has experience and background in community service, policy development, administration, management and sales/marketing. With a young child soon to enter the school system, she looks forward to making a positive impact in the Lewiston school system through her service with Lewiston Education Fund.
Alicia Rea, Bates College
Alicia is a graduate of Connecticut College and has landed roots here in Lewiston. She is the Annual Giving Coordinator at Bates College in the Office of College Advancement. Alicia brings skills and experience in community service, nonprofit organizations and fundraising. Alicia has a passion for supporting teachers and their vision for excellence in promoting aspirations and engaging youth in experiences not otherwise provided within the standard funding of the school system.
