Steps to Accomplishing Real Life Transitions
In collaboration with the Lewiston School Department and the Lewiston Middle School, the Lewiston Education Fund created Project START in 2006-2007. This standard quarterly class, known to students as Career Prep, encourages Lewiston Middle School students to “think forward.” Job interview skills, personal aspirations inquiry and links to career related programs at Lewiston High School set the stage for the future for both students and parents.
In 2011, Project START transitioned to a program fully funded by the Lewiston School Department. The Lewiston Eduction Fund is looking forward to the future of aspirations and hopes to begin a pilot program at the elementary level in 2012-2013.
